Folk gör sina tutorials så hopplöst invecklade med en massa onödigt skit! *gah!*
Den du postade var samma teknik som hasse36 postade. Lek runt inställningarna för ludd, det är den som avgör hur softa kanterna blir.
gör en selection med valfritt verktyg/gå in i Select och välj Feather och välj ett värde beroende på hur hög/låg upplösning du har på bilden (prova dig fram tills du är nöjd). Sen om du vill kan du trycka ctrl+j för att få över din selection till ett nytt lager.

Det är när man ser Nalfarens bilder man inser att även om man "kan Photoshop" så är det ungefär samma sak som att kunna använda en blyertspenna. Det innebär inte att man kan göra något vettigt ändå.
