Testat idag på bröst, axlar och rygg. Börjades kännas styggt på 5 och 7:an klarade jag inte på alla övningar. Tar en stund att hitta "rätt" i vikterna. Delade även med studien till Borge Fagerli eftersom jag anser att det finns ganska mycket likheter till myoreps och han svarade

I’d have to dig deeper into the protocol, but it seems to me that the 3/7, short-rest group would achieve higher fatigue and thus more "effective" reps than the 8 sets of 6, 3min rest group, since they both used 70% of 1RM as starting loads - a load most people can do 10-12 reps with. Hence the 8 sets of 6 group, even with accumulated fatigue, should be able to complete all sets without hitting failure - whereas the 3/7 group would soon approach failure.
They did address this concern in the conclusion, though - but what was weird about it is that the 8/6 group increased their working loads faster than the 3/7, yet the latter ended up with the best 1RM gains. Not sure what to make out of that one.
What I think we are seeing here is that there may indeed be some unique adaptation inherent in metabolic stress - which is why techniques such as this one, ladders, clusters, drop-sets and Myo-reps are so effective.
I’m actually gonna try this at the gym today, just to see how it feels like in practice
