Saxat direkt fran MMAbloggen. Däremot citerar Bloodyelbow (som brukar vara en bra sida) detta´från MikeChiappettas twitter :

"just asked Dana White if Lyoto accepted the fight. His answer: "No, and Tito turned it down." There is no replacement yet. #UFC133"

CROCOP

ON STAYING IN UFC
"There's no any new significant news in terms of me. It is NOT the end. I am training, as always. I never actually talked or negotiated with Dana White at all about anything, I always had deal with Lorenzo Fertita., owner of UFC. We signed that contract initially and we both respect it...my next bout in UFC is guaranteed".

ON INJURIES AND CURRENT STATE
"I feel really good. I fixed some of my injuries, I just received last batch of injections for my knee cartillage, I had terrible pain in that knee, it was completely devastated from all surgeries I had, but now I feel excellent. I also fixed disc hernia from which I suffered since last year, now I am in process of physical therapy and doing spinal excercises on strengthening my back and spinal column along with reguar training."

ON CHAEL SONNEN AND TRASH TALK
" I never liked to say any trash talk about anyone and I never go low on that level.
Who is that guy...Chael Sonnen...I remember his face...I'm not the first one on which he had target on. When I was on UFC event last time I talked to some high ranked UFC official asking about this guy and saying: is he really crazy or just hungry for shameless promotion? The guy at UFC told me: He's both. So that says it all. he is both a crazy person and hungry of promotion.I'm not angry or anything at Sonnen, but I will say one thing, I hope nobody gets offended, I dont wanna sound disgusting and I am certainly not fan of any anthropologic theories, but you can see on that guy's face that he is limited and stupid and his IQ is not higher than the size of the shoes he's wearing. His way of communication, his idiotic talks and mockery about legends such as Minotauro, Fedor, Wanderlei Silva and me, the people whose fame he will NEVER reach. I can't be mad at him because he doesn't understand some things, like a little child. To be angry at him would be equal for me being angry at my little son who does funky things around the house all the time.
He's child and he doesn't understand, I cant be angry at him! Saying that fights in Japan were fixed and that me along with other guys like Silva,Minotauro etc. did not win those fights legitimately is an ultimate and absurd nonsense. I broke people
s bones, tore muscles, ribs, faces, inflicted some serious and heavy damages to my oponnents etc...I got hurt myself too from serious attacks...that is far far away from any fix and it just sounds incredible how this guy that cannot do anything for himself other than babble cannot do the job in the ring and get attention with his fights, not with his trash talk."

"It is like saying that antilopes feed on tigers and not vice versa. That is the level of absurd that this guy brings. It doesnt make any sense, that is seriously crazy stuff that this guy is talking.

"I can't believe that somebody would take this guy seriously. He barks like the dog, desperately trying to promote his fights because he doesnt know any other way, certainly not with his fights. He graduated with a degree in bullshitting. So he is not an ordinary idiot, he is an idiot that has diploma in bullshitting. This is democracy, any idiot can say whatever they want. I just wish if he had 20 kilos more (40+ pounds more), I would kick his ass so hard that the steam would be blowing out of his rude ass. Or maybe if he comes in Croatia as a tourist one of these days, I hope to find him at the beach and make a little "conversation with him".

The reporter wanted to press more on Sonnen after this but Cro Cop was brief to close this topic: "Please don't ask me more about this idiot. He is irrelevant. I really dont wanna waste any more of my time on this guy."

ON OLD FIGHTERS VS. NEW WAVE OF FIGHTERS

"With age there comes injuries in the first place, lack of motivation and saturation with intense trainings. On other hand, you have these young lions, 25-26 years old and so on, they dont have dime to their name, they want to get their careers going, earn money and make a name for themselves. Thats why they are hungry and way more motivated than older fighters. It is simple as that. Young fighters risk more and older ones are always more careful in risking."

ON SILVA VS OVEREEM
"It is hard to predict any fight, very hard...anything can happen. But I will give a slight advantage maybe to Bigfoot Silva, I think he's more a complete fighter. But Overeem is a great fighter too, it is going to be really tough".

ON NATURE OF MMA
"Ups and downs are normal part of everybody's life, MMA is not exception. But loss in MMA versus the loss in other sports is quite peculiar and different. Let me make comparison with, for example, tennis. In tennis, as professional player, you can have as much as 50-60 matches per year. You can loose few matches in a streak, you can loose a tournament, who cares, not a big deal. You have another one coming next week which you can potentially win. In MMA is not like that, UFC usually allows a fighter to fight around only 2 times per year. Therefore, if you suffer a loss you have to wait maybe 5-6 months until your next bout. People will remember this and thats why loss in MMA is so much more emphasized. I could be fighting my new fight right now, but UFC does not let me, it is the nature of this sport and rule of this organization. I have 2 loss streak, that's true, but if I did for example 5-6 fights in this year, the fact is that nobody would remember those 2 losses at all. I am physically ready for many more fights in one year but they want me to wait and I have to respect that and comply with that because that is organizational rule. I could be fighting a new fight right now, not a sweat".

ON STEROIDS, FRUITDIET AND DOPING
"I think that big majority of fighters use performance enhancing drugs, some of them that cannot be normally detected in urine, like human growth hormone (HGH) or the "elixir of the youth". This hormone is naturally occurring in our body so it is impossible to detect it in urine. It allows fighter to recover extremely fast after being exposed to heavy training and also enables them to grow and gain muscle mass rapidly. It is impossible to prove HGH. I see some people failing some other steroid tests, on some other substances, but with case of HGH, it is never detected".

ABOUT CLOSING CAREER IN K-1
"I don't know man, I said many times it is the end, but...you know, it is not that easy. Fighting is my lifestyle. It is not something that I do or a job. It is my life. You suffer a loss and maybe you think in affect, like I will quit. But next morning you wake up, you miss it, you want to do training, you want to fight. It is so hard to quit. I don't know what to tell you. People who are not fighters cannot understand this. It is not about money, not about the fame. It is all about passion and addiction.
To enter the octagon, especially to win a fight in it. It is surreal feeling, it is a drug. It is hard to explain. After UFC I might do some K-1 matches, I am in some talks right now".

ON ROY NELSON

" I will fulfill and respect my UFC contract until the end - that is the last fight on my current UFC contract and maybe my last contract in MMA fighting, who knows that, it is hard to tell. Perhaps I do some K-1 after this, it is fairly possible, that is my big wish. I will say here exclusively...my next fight in UFC is against Roy Nelson in Las Vegas. I will be prepared, I know this might be my last MMA fight so i will be extra motivated to close this chapter the best I can. He is a great fighter, great crossing punch, he is master of brazilian jiu jitsu. He is extremely dangerous guy, has a big heart and drive, he is excellent on the ground and if he hits you with his strong cross it is game over. It is going to be great fight. Roy Nelson should not be underestimated by any means. Trust me, I would rather like my leg chopped off than to loose against Nelson. I will train as a fanatic and I will go in there to die. I dont wanna loose this fight. I would rather like my airplane to get crashed than loosing against Nelson. I will do anything to win this one. I train like an animal."

ON DOS SANTOS VS CAIN VELASQUEZ

"As always, it is so hard to predict. Maybe just a slightly advantage to Velasquez because of his wrestling, hes definitely better in that department. He also uses his legs more than Junior, on ground I think they both train a lot. We havent seen a lot of groundwork in terms of Junior but he is in a team with Minotauro, so I'm sure he is great in that department as well. I would say Velasquez is a more complete fighter, with great stamina and better conditioning probably but on other hand Junior will probably be more motivated and hungry to take that belt, he has better reach and longer extremities and also is better boxer than Velasquez. As you can see, it is so hard to say or predict anything. It is impossible to say who will win."

ON NOT BEING ABLE TO FIGHT MINOTAURO AGAIN
"Yes, I am sorry I will not be able to fight him again. He expressed willingness too...but you know what...media again twisted some of my words there. I was asked by FightersOnly magazine if I would like to fight Minotauro. I said yes, if UFC organizes it. Thats all I said. I am not in position of matchmaker neither I need to suggest UFC anything, it is their job to do that. Media blew it out of any proportions.
I actually had a big chance of fighting Minotauro prior to that, but then UFC organization got probably offended by thinking that I am taking matchmaking in my hands. But I never said anything about it, just a short statement that I would fight him IF UFC organizes it by themselves. I assure you, I am very professional, this is serious business and I am known for not giving harsh or premature statements. I had great chance of fighting him but domestic (croatian) media blew it by bombastic and false articles of things I never said. It is a terrible communication. I am sometimes really dissapointed as a person to see these things".

ON POSSIBLE EXTENSION IN UFC AFTER NELSON'S FIGHT
"You know what, I am too long in this business to beg or ask somebody to keep me in the business. That will definitely be the case. I will not beg anybody to keep me around. I am fighting for 20 years and if they dont want me after Nelson fight I will not insist on staying at all. Thats just the way how I am. I believe we all have some vanity in ourselves, but thats the way how I am. I know who I am and what I've accomplished as a fighter. So it is hard to say. I might stay in UFC, might fight somewhere in Japan and do some K-1 or I might just snap and quit forever, call it a day and stop living as a soldier and start living as a civilian. Some things are above my control. But I am a fighter, there is always something that motivates me to move on. I don't know."

ON ANDREI ARLOWSKI
" This is crazy sport...two guys in a cage, swinging hands like crazy...anything can happen. I always use this guy Arlowski as example...great fighter, awesome fighter, great boxing and kick boxing skills, very competent on the ground, serious skills and great talent....but heavily knocked out 4 times...that is horrible, I tell you, that is so sad. I felt bad for him, as if he was my own blood and my own brother. I don't know him well, I only handshaked with him once. He is a great fighter, I was so sorry to look at him closing his career like that, it is so sad and unfortunate to see. I don't know what to tell you, I'm stunned....but that is the nature of this sport."

ON RING VS CAGE
"Cage is problematic. Cage is always being associated with barbarism and gladiators in medieval times. I can see how ordinary people and spectators could have problem with that. I dont think cage will ever become a mainstream or accepted by some olympic committees etc.... it is just too cruel and sometimes barbaric to ordinary people and it just has too many negative connotations. Many lame people see it as too violent and too cruel, cage will always have its fanbase and many people will love it but the mainstream public will never accept it fully. That is the fact. I personally think cage is problematic. On other hand, ring has this olympic notion to it, through boxing history etc. and it will always be more accepted than cage. This is just my opinion".

ON DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PRIDE AND UFC
"In the UFC I always fought in different arena, different city etc whereas in Japan I always fought in either Tokyo Dome (sometimes) and almost all of them in Saitama Super Arena, some in Nagoya etc. There was this locker room in Saitama, every time I would come I would feel like at home. I knew anybody there, I felt so great at Saitama".
