MMA Game planning:
Coached by Greg Jackson (owner of Jackson MMA)/Mike Winkeljohn (6th degree black belt in American Kenpo Karate under Master Bill Packer. Mike was ISKA world kickboxing champ, and two-time Muay Thai world champ). GSP travels to New Mexico and Colorado to spar with many top 10 ranked fighters including: Jon “Bones” Jones (UFC champion), Rashad Evans (UFC champion), Nate Marquardt (3x King of Pancrase champion), and Shane Carwin (UFC interim champion).

MMA Canada:
Coached by Firas Zahabi (owner of Tristar, Canadian amateur Muay Thai champion, and amateur Pancrase champion). Many top 10 ranked fighters travel from all over the world to spar with GSP including: Kenny Florian (fought for UFC title), Miguel “Angel” Torres (WEC champion), plus special guests like Jerome Le Banner (ISKA world kickboxing champion, Muay Thai world champion, legendary K1 fighter, 2x second place in Grand Prix), and Gegard Mousasi (Strikeforce & Dream champion).

BJJ:
Coached by John Danaher (John is a black belt and professor under Renzo Gracie. Renzo is a 6th degree Gracie Barra black belt under Master Carlos Gracie Jr. Carlos is a 7th degree red and black belt under Grandmaster Helio Gracie, co-founder of BJJ). Georges was awarded his black belt by Bruno Fernandes (3rd degree black belt under Master Carlos Gracie Jr. Bruno is a 4x world champion, and multiple time Pan American, national and regional champion). GSP travels all over the world to roll with dozens of black belts from the Renzo Gracie academy, and the Gracie Barra fight team including: Roger Gracie (2nd degree black belt, 10x world BJJ champion, and multiple time ADCC champ), and Braulio Estima (2nd degree black belt, 2009 ADCC Absolute gold medal winner and under 88kg. gold medal champ, 2007 ADCC under 99kg. silver medal, and multiple time world champion).

Boxing:
Coached by hall of fame trainer Freddie Roach (Freddie was taught by legendary trainer Eddie Futch. Roach is a 4x trainer of the year award winner, and has trained 27 boxing world champions and several MMA champions) at the Wildcard boxing club in California. Georges is also coached by Howard Grant (Olympic boxer and gold medal winner at Commonwealth games). GSP spars with boxing world champions both in Canada and around the globe.

Wrestling:
Coached by Gia Sissaouri (2001 world champion. He is a multiple world and Olympic medalist, and is considered by many to be one of the best technicians in the world), Cleo NCube (2008 Canadian Olympic trials Silver medalist), Dave Mair (3x Canadian national champion. Coached over 100 national champions and coached for Canada at over 18 different world championships including the ’96 and ’08 Olympic games), Rob Moore, and Victor Zilberman (head coach at Montreal wrestling club, and 4x member of Canada’s Olympic coaching staff, member of Russian national team and world medalist) in Freestyle, and by Leister Bowling (4x NAIA Central Regional champion, 3x All-American, and national runner-up) in Folk style. Spars with members of the Canadian national wrestling team and the Montreal wrestling club at the George Reinitz wrestling center at the Snowdon YMHA.

Muay Thai:
Coached by Jean-Charles Skarbowsky (legendary Muay Thai world champion, Ranked #1 at Radjadamnern boxing stadium in 2003 and 2006, and #4 in 2005, 3x European Champion, Champion of France). Georges also trains with Kru Phil Nurse (Awarded the title of Kru under Grandmaster Sken Kaewpadung. Phil was European Muay Thai champion, two-time British Muay Thai champion, and British all styles champion). Spars with Conrad Pla (ISKA world kickboxing champ and founder of Tristar) in Canada, and students from the Wat in NYC, Cosmo Alexandre (WMC and WPMF world champion), etc.

Strength & Conditioning:
Coached by Pierre Roy/Erik O’Keefe. He used to train with Jonathan Chaimberg (member of the Canadian national wrestling team and owner of Adrenaline Performance Center). Georges also worked with Erik Owings to develop the workout DVD program RUSHFIT. Erik is a black belt in BJJ under Renzo Gracie and John Danaher.

Nutrition:
Dr. John Berardi, PhD, CSCS, Founder and President of Precision nutrition. Jennifer Nickel of Cavalli in Montreal, personal chef.
