Here are some random observations I made regarding my experience:
1) Alexander has bounced back really nicely from his injury and his tough first outing at the O... He looked to be in great condition at 294 and 9 days out.
2) Alex uses meticulous form, he is precise and hands on as an instructor and places an amazing premium on form even though he handles heavy weights... I think most would be surprised at how loose their form actually is when compared to someone who trains with absolutely text book, even rigidly perfect form--I know I was. I found myself training with weights far lower than what I usually use in order to compensate for my need for pinpoint form.
3) Alex is an exceptionally humble and nice guy, very unassuming and encouraging and big as a damn house, I wore a 3X Animal shirt in order to shroud myself and make the size difference less obvious... No such luck, but that kind of humbling experience always stokes the fire to train harder and get bigger and better.
All things considered, it was a blast and an experience that was simultaneously demoralizing and inspiring. But we all know the code, the big dawg alwayss has to punish the new jack--it is a rite of passage, something to help the up and comer learn the price that must be paid... Often I'm doing the teaching, but yesterday, I got schooled. Attached are a few pics from yesterday's triceps workout... Enjoy. Peace, G
