Låter säkert tämligen ytligt eller naivt detta, men sanningen är att för insatta i Black Metal-musiken så är följande text väldigt djup. Texten skrevs av Pelle "Dead" Ohlin, förra sångaren i Mayhem. Mycket självdestruktiv människa. Med denna texten kan man verkligen föreställa sig precis hur han kände. Inte vad han tyckte, utan hur man själv skulle upplevt alltet om man var honom. Något år efter han skrev texten (som uppmuntrar till självmord) tog han själv livet av sig (1991)
Gäller inte bara texten. Hela låten är målad på ett helt fantastiskt sätt för dom som ser det. Introt är extremt depressivt, samtidigt otroligt kraftfullt.

Låter säkert tämligen ytligt eller naivt detta, men sanningen är att för insatta i Black Metal-musiken så är följande text väldigt djup. Texten skrevs av Pelle "Dead" Ohlin, förra sångaren i Mayhem. Mycket självdestruktiv människa. Med denna texten kan man verkligen föreställa sig precis hur han kände. Inte vad han tyckte, utan hur man själv skulle upplevt alltet om man var honom. Något år efter han skrev texten (som uppmuntrar till självmord) tog han själv livet av sig (1991)
Gäller inte bara texten. Hela låten är målad på ett helt fantastiskt sätt för dom som ser det. Introt är extremt depressivt, samtidigt otroligt kraftfullt.



Life Eternal tycker jag speglar hans psykiska hälsa mycket bättre, den texten handlar ju verkligen om livsförakt, utanförskap och död. Här beskriver verkligen Pelle de kännslor som drev honom till döds. Freezing moon är iofs bra men den texten kan man ju inte koppla så direkt till hans självmord som Life Eternal. Det känns mer som nån vanlig horror black metal text.

Just "I am a mortal, but am I human?" stycket känns ju nästan läskigt att läsa med facit ihand.
